Puritan Cleaners Coats For Kids 2011

As we head into the holiday season each year, we get excited.  Not just because we’re nearing Thanksgiving or Christmas, but also because we get to participate in our annual Coats For Kids campaign!  This year will be our 24th year of collecting gently used children’s coats for children and their families in the Richmond, VA area.

From November 1st through November 30th, each coat donated by the Richmond area community, is cleaned and taken to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Center for distribution to needy children and their families.   We are so thankful to be a part of this each year, and appreciative of everyone that participates.  From our friends and family in the community that donate the coats, to VCU Athletics and Coach Shaka Smart for sponsoring the VCU Basketball Coats For Kids nite on November 3rd to kick off the Rams basketball season, to Juan Conde of 8News with Juan’s Calling All Coats drive on November 16th, to the Flying Squirrels baseball team sponsoring the Ballpark Warming Party coat drive at the Diamond on November 19th, to the schools like Heritage Christian Academy who participate in collecting and donating much needed children’s coats, and to the Richmond Area Salvation Army for hosting the Christmas Center every year and providing assistance to needy families in our community. Our sincerest thanks to everyone!

If you know a family in need of assistance this holiday season, please have them contact the Richmond Area Salvation Army

I was recently visiting family in Richmond and had an unexpected death in the family. I needed 4 garments dry cleaned in a hurry and I went to Puritan #4 in Midlothian (Grove). I was greeted by a gentleman (I think his name was James) The servie was beyond awesome. He was the most pleasant, polite, helpful individual I have encountered in a long, long time. He could write the textbook for customer service.. Absolutely OUTSTANDING.. My entire experece with your establishment was just first class. Keep up the good work.
